Primary ReferenceNK14SW0007
NameMAINS OF SPRINGHILL
NMRS Card No.NK14SW7
NMRS Numlink21341
Site Form Crop Mark (Includes Soil Mark)
Site Condition AP visible Only
Details The cropmark of a long narrow rectilinear enclosure, with rig and furrow within and alongside, identified from aerial photographs. Although initially suggested to be a possible cursus, site visit in 2002 by RCAHMS concluded this to be an unlikely location for a cursus, and that the ditches may be of more recent date. The northern parallel ditches are on the line of a track depicted on the OS 1st edition map, and in part on the 2nd edition.
