Remains of a walled garden and a B-listed former garden house, directly to the east of Lour House (NO44NE0085). On the 1st edition OS map, the walled garden is shown as rectangular and having tree-lined paths within it, with two unroofed enclosures in the northern section, a square and L-plan building on the exterior of the northern wall, and a rectangular building to the east. On the 2nd edition OS map, the south and west walls have been removed and there is a wall running up where the central pathway was on the 1st edition OS map. The square building to the north has been removed or replaced by a rectangular building, and the L-plan building removed or replaced by three separate rectangular buildings. There are two additional buildings between these that are within an enclosure. One of the buildings within the walled garden to the north is depicted as roofed, and the other removed. The building to the east has also been removed. A fountain is depicted in what would have been within the south-west corner. Current maps depict it as an open garden space, with the central wall also removed. The building within the garden to the north has been removed. The enclosure to the north has been removed, and three rectangular buildings added to that area. The B-listed garden house is one of the buildings to the north. It is a small oblong rubble-built building with a lintel dated 1707 and a slate roof. It is now used as a garden store.
