Details Remains of a house, dating to the 16th or 17th century. It is depicted on the 1st and 2nd edition OS maps as the remains of an L-plan house. It measures 12 metres by 5 metres (39 feet by 16 feet), with walls standing to a height of circa 3 metres (10 feet). There is an entrance in the re-entrant angle and a vaulted cellar. The house has been altered during its lifetime. It is heavily overgrown, but slit openings in the walls were seen during a visit by OS in 1958. Stones from this house were used to build the present mansion (NO64NW0141), built in the mid-19th century.
