Church, still in ecclesiastical use, built by Alexander Ellis in 1870. It is a small Gothic church, constructed from dark local whinstone with grey ashlar margins and dressings. There is an entrance porch in the south elevation, and a buttressed gable with paired lights to the street with a small three-stage spire and fronted by low chapel. The church has a galleried interior, with the liturgical to the east orientated to the west, a ribbed vaulted ceiling, Gothic style carved wooden reredos with a marble front, and an advanced altar. A panelled dado is surmounted by painted Stations of the Cross, each within a wooden frame. The pews are plain, and there is a small chapel at the east gable. The presbytery is adjacent to the south (NJ66SE0279), and was built as one building.
