Classical 3-storey, 5-bay banking mansion, designed by Peddie and Kinnear, dated 1876. Channelled and rendered ashlar ground floor, polished ashlar first and second floors with polished ashlar dressings. Richly carved central doorpiece with bracketed pediment. The right ground floor bay (east) forms a pend entrance and gives access to upper floors. Moulded architraves to all windows, corniced and apron panelled at first floor, lugged at second. Greek key frieze between ground and first floor. There are cill courses to first and second floor windows. A watching brief was carried out in May 2022 by Stuart Farrell adjacent to the property, for a new gas main connection at No. 141 High Street (NJ26SW0817).
