Details Former station house of Fochabers Station (later Orbilston Junction Station) - NJ35NW0217. The station house was built in circa 1858. It is a South-East facing 2-storey, 4-bay house, with a single-storey canopied railway office and canopied platform shelter at right angles at the rear, forming a T-plan. The house is linked at the rear to the station office with an advanced gabled outer bay lit by a canopied bipartite. It is constructed from tooled rubble, with tooled ashlar dressings. There is a gabletted projecting ground floor window in the South-West return gable to the platform, a blocked off-centre entrance in the South-East elevation that is now a window and slightly advanced gabled outer bays. There is 2- and 4-pane glazing used, coped end and ridge stacks and slate roofs.
