Details Dyke war memorial gate arch, built 1921-2, designed by Dr P. MacGregor Chalmers, located on the lych gate to the cemetery of Dyke Parish Church (NH95NE0010). It is constructed of tooled rubble with tooled ashlar dressings, and it has a round-headed arch under a gabled overthrow with an apex cross and a niche containing a sword and laurel wreath. Inscribed plaques commemorating the dead of World War I and II flank the gates. In a niche on the churchyard side gable of the gateway is a carved stone wreath surmounted by a cross, the inscription above 'In memory 1914-1918'. A plaque on the inside wall of the gateway lists the names of those lost. Full transcription of memorial held in AAS Digital Archive.
