Walled garden and portico probably dated 1802. Substantial roughly square walled garden with inner walled garden. Harl pointed rubble walls, partially coped with tooled rubble cope. Tetrastyle portico reconstructed against east wall (facing west), reusing former mansion house entrance portico of 1802, taken down during 1912 reconstruction and re-erected on present site. Entrance at west side of garden, carriage and pedestrian gateways flanked by simple square tooled rubble piers with flat caps. Burgie Castle (NJ05NE0001) is situated within the north-west corner of the garden, however the walled garden purposefully excludes the dovecot (NJ05NE0018).
