A series of seven boundary stones lie along a straight fence line which probably marked the boundary between two estates, as they are not on a parish boundary line. They are depicted on the OS maps of 1846 and 1888 and several of them are still depicted on present maps. These are at NJ2784 5168, NJ2786 5188, NJ2792 5230 (marked with an A on the west presumably for Auchinroath and FS on the east for Findlayseat) and NJ2795 5250 (also with an A on the west and FS on the east). Others are depicted at NJ2757 5055, NJ2773 5077 and NJ2801 5275 but it is unknown if they still survive in these vicinities. Walkover survey in May 2022 ahead of a proposed 132kV overhead line (NJ25SE0078) along part of the boundary centred NJ2784351779 recorded the turf and stone boundary bank measuring 1.5 m wide and 0.6 m high, but the boundary stone shown on historic maps at NJ2757 5055 was not found.
