A three arch railway viaduct, constructed by Patrick M. Barnett in 1884-6 of coursed rubble, with tooled dressings and some brick facings. It has three brick segmental arch rings supported by thick squat piers and some later cast-iron ties, and a fourth filled arch at the Eastern end. There is an ashlar coped low parapet. It was built for the Great North of Scotland Railway. Opened in April 1886, it suffered a partial collapse in December 1887 and reopened January 1888. Directly to the west is the North Deskford Street railway bridge (NJ56NW0049), and the Seafield Street viaduct (NJ56NW0040) is to the east, both are part of the same line.
