Details Church hall, built in the 20th century. In the side room it contains a memorial to Forglen boys who lost their lives in World War I in the form of a framed picture with photographs of each individual, a list of names and dedication. A war memorial stands in the hall grounds (NJ65SE0056). A new brass plaque in memory of George Findlater VC as unveiled in 2010. Born in Forglen, Findlater was awarded the Victoria Cross for his courage in the Indian Mutiny campaign of the 1890s when as battalion piper he continued piping after being wounded, his actions inspiring the 1st Battalion Gordon Highlanders to scale Dalgai Heights. He survived the campaign, and died in 1942: he is buried in Forglen Cemetery (NJ64NE0038)
