Details Milestone on the Aberdeenshire Canal depicted on the OS 1st edition map annotated M.S. Aberdeen 14. It is circular in section, 0.34m in diameter, standing 0.45 m high with a domed top. A facet bearing the incised number '14' has been cut into the southwest side of the top, indicating 14 miles from Aberdeen. It stands within a surviving section of the Canal, see NJ81NW0060.
