Remains of enclosure and rig and furrow recorded during a walkover survey by Mercer and Ralston in 1989 prior to a proposed extension of Bellmuir Quarry (NJ83NE0181). An extensive area of rig and furrow cultivation in survives reasonable condition. The rig in the west portion is aligned approximately north-south and has a wave amplitude of circa 4 m. The smaller east portion has rig oriented approximately east-west with wave amplitude circa 2 m. This system is edged by a low turf and stone bank, most noticeable on the south side, where it is accompanied on its inner margin by a single wide rig parallel with this bank. A desk based assessment carried out by Rathmell Archaeology in 2016 ahead of proposed development of Bellmuir Quarry and subsequent field observation noted the site (S35) as present but did not record any further details, with the site located outwith the proposed development area.
