Details Remains small scale quarry pits, most of which were recorded during a walkover survey by Mercer and Ralston in 1989 prior to a proposed extension of Bellmuir Quarry (NJ83NE0181). A walkover survey carried out by Rathmell Archaeology in 2016 ahead of proposed development of Bellmuir Quarry identified the site (S27) with a number of quarry pits along the southern end of the quarry development area, near to the trackway and along the top of the ridge to the north. They mostly range is size from 2 m to 10 m, and 0.5 to 0.9 m in depth. The largest one to the southeast measured 17 m by 10.5 m, 1.5 m deep, aligned west-southwest to east-northeast.
