Details Remains of rig and furrow, recorded during a walkover survey by Mercer and Ralston in 1989 prior to a proposed extension of Bellmuir Quarry (NJ83NE0181). Faint traces of rig and furrow cultivation can be seen to run across the contours for approximately 10 m. A walkover survey carried out by Rathmell Archaeology in 2016 ahead of proposed development of Bellmuir Quarry identified the site (S20.5) with the rig and furrow running north-south. The furrows measuring approximately 1.5 m wide and 0.1 m deep, covering an area measuring 94 m west-northwest to east-southeast by 55 m north-northeast to south-southwest.
