Remains of a discontinuous stony bank running approximately north-south, its clearest sector edges areas rig and furrow, recorded during a walkover survey by Mercer and Ralston in 1989 prior to a proposed extension of Bellmuir Quarry (NJ83NE0181). A walkover survey carried out by Rathmell Archaeology in 2016 ahead of proposed development of Bellmuir Quarry identified the stony bank as site (S20.4) and the areas of rig and furrow as site (S20.7). The the low stone and earth bank measuring 1.5 m wide, 0.2 m high, approximate total length 72 m, running along the eastern edge of the rig and furrow. The two areas of rig and furrow were identified to the west of the bank, running north-south, covering total areas measuring 65 m north-northeast to south-southwest by 10 m west-northwest to east-southeast, and 65 m north-northeast to south-southeast by 7 m west-northwest to east-southeast respectively. The furrows measured approximately 1.5 m wide and 0.2 m to 0.3 m deep. The eastern area bounded by the stony bank (S20.4) along the eastern edge.
