Gate lodge, still in use, built in circa 1820, probably by John Smith (who designed Pitfour House), and set within the Pitfour House designed landscape (NJ94NE0039). It is a single storey lodge with a rear wing, and is constructed from coursed rubble with squared dressings, a slate roof and ashlar skews. It is of unusual composition, with a transversely-set centre axial stack on a gabled three-bay, centre-doored front.
