Details Lodge with adjoining road bridge (NO33SE0008). The lodge dates from the early 19th century with an extension to the east from the later 19th century. It is a 2-storey, rectangular plan lodge, constructed of rubble sandstone with ashlar quoins and a harled projection at the north. The windows have margined quoins with plate glass sash and case glazing. The grey slated roof is half-piended at the east, has plain bargeboards at the west gable and has corniced ridge stacks. Southwest of the lodge is the adjoining single arch road bridge over the Dighty Water, dating from the early 19th century. The lodge and bridge are associated to Balmuirfield House (NO33SE0006).
