House, formerly a bankhouse, dating from the late 18th century. Two-storey, 3-bay house in a terrace to the southwest, constructed of coursed squared rubble with stone margins and ashlar quoin strips. There are 12-pane and plate glass glazing patterns in timber sash and case windows. The southeast (Main Street) elevation is symmetrical, with a boarded timber door and regular fenestration. There is a single storey projection to the northeast elevation which is No. 15 Main Street (NO34NE0138). The rear elevation has a catslide roof to a projecting centre bay. The grey slated roof has coped ashlar stacks with polygonal cans, ashlar-coped skews and moulded skewputts. The property was formerly a bankhouse with the adjoining bank at No. 19 (NO34NE0140).
