House, formerly a bank, dating from the 18th century house and altered in the 19th century. Two-storey, 2-bay end house in a terrace to the northeast, constructed of squared and snecked rubble, with ashlar quoins and raised cills. There are 4-pane and plate glass glazing patterns in timber sash and windows. The southeast (Main Street) elevation has a 3-part timber door and decoratively-astragalled fanlight, with an opening for the former night safe immediately to the east. Two windows at the first floor break the eaves into gabled stone dormerheads. The grey slated roof has coped ashlar stacks with polygonal cans and ashlar-coped skews with moulded skewputts. The property was formerly a bank with the adjoining No. 17 (NO34NE0139) as the bankhouse.
