Details Church, still in ecclesiastical use, depicted from the OS 1st edition map onwards, at which time it was named Second Free Church. On the 2nd edition it is annotated as a United Free Church. The church shown on modern OS maps, named 'Erskine Church', is larger than that depicted on the 1st and 2nd edition OS maps and may represent either expansion of the original building, or a replacement structure. A cairn was uncovered when the land on which the church is built was cleared (NO53SE0004).
