Details Trial trenching evaluation by Headland Archaeology in 2021 recorded a number of features at this location. These included possible pits and a ditch. They were observed in the area of a haul road, but did not appear to extend into the area investigated for the cable route. In the latter four furrows were recorded, parallel and circa 5 m apart. Further mitigation will be required for removal of the haul road. For the wider trial trenching programme see NO43SE0117. A watching brief carried out by CFA in November 2021 - June 2022 during removal of the haul road in this field did not identify any archaeological features or artefacts.
