Details Cottage still in use which is shown on the OS maps from the 1st edition map onwards. On the 1st edition map it is depicted as a small rectangular building within a rectangular enclosure. By the 2nd edition map the building has been extended to the west and north. The 2006 map shows that the building has either been further extended or replaced by a larger building. It is within the Careston Castle designed landscape (NO55NW0115).
