Farmstead and farmhouse, shown on the OS 1st edition map as the Mains of Dunninald, with a steading (NO75SW0050) to the east and the stables (NO75SW0048) to the west. The Tudor-classic farmhouse, which may have been remodelled circa 1824, is shown as a U-plan on the historic OS edition maps, with garden grounds to the north and south. Two-storey, harled, with a symmetrical south front, a projecting porch and single-storey wings and a slated roof. The northwest wing is now a separate residential property, Gardeners Cottage.
