Details House built in the early 18th century. 2-storey basement and attic. Harled exterior. It has a 5-window elevation. Birkhall was built by the Gordons of Abergeldie. It has a stone over its front door inscribed RG MG 1715. It was formerly called Stiren and is marked as 'Steirn' on Gordon of Straloch's map of 1654. It has been greatly altered since 1715 with a large addition circa 1955. It is now owned by the Royal family. There are stables to the west (NO39SW0037) and two game larders to the south-west (NO39SW0038).
