It is shown on the 1st edition OS map as having a square main block, with two flanking square wings projecting to the north, a bowed central projection on the south elevation and an advanced central section with a staircase leading to it on the north elevation. On the 2nd edition OS map the eastern wing has been extended to the east. It is a three-storey, classic, harled mansion house, with exposed margins and a slate roof. The south elevation is bow-fronted with a semi-circular porch, and the wings are single-storey and pedimented. The interiors are original. There is an associated stable block to the north (NO45NW0053) and sundial to the south (NO45NW0063).
