Gates, still in use. They were originally at Stracathro House (NO66NW0075), but were removed to Careston in 1957. The gates are two square monolithic panelled piers with moulded caps and vase finials dating to circa 1817. They have flanking piers and the gates are decorative cast iron. They sit just within the limits of the Careston Castle designed landscape (NO55NW0115), and on the site of the South Lodge (NO55NW0097).
