Details Remains of a curling pond which is shown on the OS maps from the (1863) 1st edition map onwards. The pond unusually has a small island within it, upon which stands a dovecote (NO56SW0051). The area is now heavily planted with trees. It sits to the East of Careston Castle (NO55NW0002), and within the associated designed landscape (NO55NW0115).
